Covid-19 Message From The Headmaster

COVID-19 took us all by surprise. Marina International School took the decision to teach a modified timetable online so as to keep the pupils engaged and provide the usual school routine. The feedback from parents, students and teachers was all very encouraging. The routine was a vital part in keeping the pupils motivated throughout the period. The timetabled lessons maintained good structure for all to follow and were familiar; this reduced the anxiety of change. Staff had interaction with their students on a daily basis and could work through the curriculum and continue the bespoke education we pride ourselves on. If you would like any information on how our online teaching worked, please do not hesitate to email and ask.

September 2020 - it is my hope and aim to have all the pupils return to school in September. We can implement changes to the structure of the day and other measures such as phased reopening, running shifts or a hybrid of online and physical school, therefore I am quietly confident. We may need to make some changes to our lunch and break times, but this will not prevent us from opening. We are obviously keeping up to date with the Government guidelines and will keep all posted on how this may impact the school, especially how the current public health emergency will affect the reopening of school.
